How BCB Scaffolding Services collects, uses and protects your personal information.
Last updated: 2 September 2026
BCB Scaffolding Services ("BCB", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information of everyone who visits this website or contacts us about our scaffolding services. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and store it, and the choices and rights you have. It has been prepared having regard to the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Information We Collect
We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our business functions. This may include:
- Contact details you provide when submitting an enquiry — your name, email address, phone number, the service you’re interested in, and the content of your message.
- Project details you choose to share with us, such as the location, scope or timing of a job, so we can prepare an accurate quote.
- Communications you have with us by phone, email or in person, including call notes and correspondence relating to a quote or job.
- Website usage information collected automatically by our hosting provider (such as IP address, browser type and pages visited), used only for security and site performance purposes.
We do not currently use Google Analytics, advertising cookies or third-party tracking or retargeting pixels on this website. If that changes in future, we will update this policy accordingly. Our website does embed a Google Maps widget in the footer and on our Contact Us page, which may set its own cookies under Google’s privacy policy when the map loads.
How We Collect Your Information
We collect personal information directly from you — for example, when you complete our website contact form, call or email us, or speak with a member of our team on site or over the phone. Our services are directed at adults engaging scaffolding services for residential, commercial or industrial projects, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Why We Collect and Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry and provide a quote for scaffolding services;
- schedule, deliver and manage the scaffolding services you engage us for;
- communicate with you about your project, including safety, scheduling or compliance matters;
- maintain our business records, including for invoicing and insurance purposes; and
- improve our website and the services we offer.
We will not use your personal information for any purpose unrelated to the above without first obtaining your consent, unless required or authorised by law.
Disclosure of Your Information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We may disclose personal information to:
- our directly employed staff and subcontractors who need it to deliver your project;
- trusted service providers who help us run our business, such as our website host, email provider and accounting software — each given only the information needed to perform their function; and
- regulators, insurers or authorities where we are required or authorised to do so by law.
Some of the service providers above may store information on servers located outside Australia. Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to be handled in a way that is consistent with this Privacy Policy.
Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
How Long We Keep Your Information
We keep personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy, including to meet legal, accounting or reporting obligations. When it is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify it.
Access and Correction
You may ask us for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, please contact us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and will let you know if we are unable to give you access or make a correction, and why.
Cookies
Our website uses only minimal, functional cookies needed for pages to display correctly, plus any cookies set by the third-party Google Maps widget embedded in our footer and Contact Us page. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; doing so may affect how some parts of the site display.
Making a Complaint
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first using the details below so we can try to resolve your concern. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal or operational reasons. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
